While the Partnership's goal is to increase
college access for
all public school students, the three schools representing
our
target areas -- Howard, Red Bank, and Sale
Creek -- are
serving as pilot schools for the project.
Leadership teams
at these schools are implementing college night programs,
senior retreats, college tours, test preparation activities,
and faculty training to ensure that all students and
their parents have the information they need to plan for, apply,
and pay for college. In addition, the College Access
task force has developed college and financial aid information programs
that can be presented in community agencies, public housing
developments, neighborhood centers, and churches.
